DogDaze Leisure Sports Rec Leagues are taking place at a park or beach or bar near you. Some leagues have a new game each week, some play the same game(s) each week, read all the details! Meet new people, get off the couch and enjoy some leisurely sports, have a fun crew to hit the bars with.

FAQ :

DogDaze Leisure Sports Rec League? Huh?
This is a rec-league for those who enjoy games like bocce, horseshoes, cornhole, ladder toss, and other tailgate games. Relaxed awesomeness. Have you played in a kickball league before? Well this is sort of like that except you are not kicking a ball, you are generally throwing one thing at another thing, you will actually get to participate more than just one kick per night, and you don't have to feel like you are surrounded by a bunch of overaggressive kickballers wearing cleats!

Don't worry... you won't miss out on the after-games drinking festivities. After the games, you'll head to a bar. Beers for all. Unless you are in a bar league... then you're already there!

How many teams are in the league?
Each city will usually have approximately 8 - 24 teams.

How many players on a team?
Three to six people per team. Seven is a little high so that would assume that only half the people can make it each week. All of the games played are generally two person games (2 vs. 2). With three or four people showing up on a team, that allows everyone to get some games in.

How much does it cost? What do I get? The registration fee is around $50 (it can vary from city to city). You get a t-shirt, several weeks of fun, happy hour specials after your games, and the use of some awesome leisure sport games.

Can I sign-up without a team?
Yes! Just pay the registration fee, and you will be placed on a team.

What if I want to join with a friend?
You sign up and they should sign up. Then just list your buddy when you register.

We have a full team! We don't want anyone else joining. Is that OK?
Sort of. Just have each person sign up separately and then list all the players. If you only have a two person team... we may ask to place a couple random people with you as well. Didn't you join to meet people and have a good time? Dogdaze@thedayofgames.com

How do I sign up!?
Just follow the Registration link above. You will then be asked to sign a waiver, select your T-Shirt size, and pay. You can use a credit card, Paypal, or Google Checkout.

I just signed up... now what?
You should receive an immediate confirmation email (please call us if this did not come through - don't forget to check your Spam!). You will later be emailed by the local League Manager with additional details.

What happens if I sign up and then decide I don't want to play?
Sorry, there are no refunds.

How old do I need to be?
You must be 21 years old in order to join.

Does that mean I can drink beer while playing the games?
Sorry, but probably a no. You still must obey the local laws. Unless you are in a bar, it's generally illegal to drink outside. Most leagues are run in public areas and it is still illegal to drink at the park or beach. Also, it would be too expensive to operate this league if heavy drinking was involved during games. Unfortunately, insurance costs get quite expensive when alcohol is combined with throwing objects around. Go ahead and drink booze at the bar - after DogDaze.

I realllllllllly like this. BUT there isn't a league near me!
Well that sucks. Here is what you can do...
    a) Email us and tell us where you live and that you want a league. Then you can wait, wait, wait, and wait until someone decides to start a league.
    b) Start a league yourself! The Day of Games, LLC will provide you with all the support in order to get this started. We will send you the games, we will set up the website, we will even PAY YOU! All you need to do is demonstrate that you can get people to join. Fun stuff... and make some cash.
