2011 MegaGate Event Schedule

–ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES ON THURSDAY–

The four day event to benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research is open to the public. There are 8 scheduled double elimination tournaments. There is open play and on the spot tournaments all four days for all games. Participate in 4 of the 8 scheduled tournaments to qualify for the $10,000 Mega Bowl Prize Pool. Get into the action!

Thursday, February 3rd (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM)

-Meet the Competition Party at McFadden’s Las Vegas
-Attendance is not required and open to the public for FREE
-Kick Off Party features Chet Buchanan & The Zoo from 98.5 KLUC
-McFadden’s 2 for 1 Coronas and Appetizer specials
-Luck of the Draw Tournaments at 7:00 PM – Brasilia Ballroom & McFadden’s
-Open Play Tournaments until 10:00 PM in Brasilia Ballroom – Inside the Rio

Friday, February 4th (9:00 AM – midnight)

-Check-in at the Brasilia Ballroom starts at 9:00 AM & Open Play kicks off
-Luck of the Draw Tournaments kick-off at 10:00 AM, others announced onsite
-Monkeyball Tournament starts at 1:00 PM
-My Pole-ish Horseshoes Tournament starts at 3:00 PM
-$5K Cornhole Singles Tournaments starts at 3:00 PM
-$5K Beer Pong – Satellite Tournament for WSOBP 2012 - 7:30PM – McFadden’s
-The daily entry fee of $10 per person does not apply to pre-registered teams

Saturday, February 5th (9:00 AM – midnight)

-Check-in at the Brasilia Ballroom starts at 9:00 AM & Open Play kicks off
-Luck of the Draw Tournaments kick-off at 10:00 AM, others announced onsite
-$5K BT2 Bag Toss Doubles starts at 1:00 PM
-Bocce Ball Tournament starts at 1:00 PM
-Pub Washers Tournament starts at 3:00 PM
-Flip Cup Tournaments (teams of 4) start at 7:30PM – inside McFadden’s

Sunday, February 6th Mega Bowl (11:00 AM – midnight)

-The 2011 MegaGate Mega Bowl Championship and Big Game Tailgate & Viewing Party will be held at the Crown Nightclub (an 11K sq ft venue) inside the Rio Hotel & Casino
-The doors at the Crown Nightclub will open at 11:00 AM
-2011 Mega Bowl Finals start at 11:30 AM for Cornhole Singles, BT2 Bag Toss, Beer Pong, and Flip Cup
-$50 General Admission; $100 VIP includes: food, 2 drink tickets, admission to Afterparty
-Big Game Tailgate & Viewing Party kicks off at 1:30 PM w/Bootleg Kev from 97.5 KVEG
-First 100 in the door get free Corona t-shirt & free entry into $100,000 TG4 Challenge

The Day of Games will be taking part in the amazing MEGAGATE festivities in Las Vegas over Super Bowl Weekend!  We will be there specifically for the Bocce portion, but you can also enter tournaments for Cornhole, Washers, Polish Horseshoes, Ladder Toss, Beer Pong, Flip Cup, and some other great games.  You can sign up for any game you want… if you only want to play Cornhole, then just sign up for that, or if you only want Bocce, then just sign up for that, or just Beer Pong, or Ladder Toss, etc. etc.  Tournaments can be registered for “A la carte” or in “Package” deals.   The American Tailgating League has thrown together this pretty spectacular looking weekend which also includes evening parties, and a gigantic Super Bowl viewing party.  This will be one HUGE tailgate weekend.  You know you want to go to Vegas…  Why not Super Bowl weekend?  The Day of Games is a new brand in tailgate games, we’ve got all your gaming gear needs covered when it comes to stuff you want for partying at a tailgate.  Take a look at our products and find someone in your family a great gift for the holidays!   Check out all the details on MEGAGATE!

Ever played Polish Horseshoes?  Now you can buy a new polish horseshoes game from The Day of Games.  It’s called Stickzee!  It comes with 2 adjustable platforms (3 sizes), 1 175 gram professional disc (ultimate quality), a carrying case, 2 koozies, and a bottle opener.  This is a great game. It’s pretty simple to play too.  All you need to do is stand behind your Stickzee platform and throw the disc at your opponents platform.  If you can knock over a can placed on top of the platform, and it hits the ground… 2 points.  If the disc is “catchable” and the opposing team fails to catch the disc…. 1 more point!  Throw back and forth until 1 team hits 21.  It is also customary to hold a drink in one hand so that only the other can be used for catching and throwing.  Some people call this game polish horseshoes, or frisbeer, or beersbee, or spanish horseshoes, or all kinds of names.  Now you can buy a Stickzee set and go play!
